Location: Middlesex, NY
Length: Long Term - 1-2 years
Housing: Optional - communal kitchen and bathhouse in separate buildings - community of 16 all live on campus
Kilns: 1 very large walk-in propane fired kiln, 1 car kiln, 1 smaller soft brick kiln, 2 electric kilns, 1 small Bailey gas kiln and 1 woodfire kiln
Expenses: Firings and housing
Funding/Stipend: Scholarships available
Workspace: Large shared studio
Responsibilities: 15 hours/week of support work for the community including clay and glaze making, loading kilns, cleaning the studio, and throwing a line of pottery with can be sold as part of the Guild’s production

Resident’s work can be displayed and sold including during their large annual sale
Paid teaching opportunities
Focus in functional pottery
Spiritual community following teachings of G.I. Gurdjieff - residents do not need to be in it, but are asked to be sensitive to it
Breakfasts and dinners are eaten together in the main house as a community - take turns making meals for the guild
Minimal WiFi and cell service is spotty - mostly available in main house
