Housing: There is a resident’s house for six artists. If the house is full, artists can find housing off site in Farmville, Pamplin, Lynchburg, or Appomattox.

$1,100 per month which includes electric kiln and wood-fire fees
$200 refundable security deposit

Artists are responsible for purchasing their clay, glaze materials, kiln materials such as: wadding, temperature cones (if CCF does not have what you need), plaster, and any other materials that the artist may need. Gas kiln and salt / soda kiln are an additional cost.
Funding/Stipend: None
Workspace: Communal, semi-private large studios. CCF has two studio buildings for artists. Each studio includes the following: Shelving, a table, a stool or chair, a potter’s wheel (if needed), a push cart, and a trash can. There is a communal space with an extruder, kick wheel, slab roller, ware boards, bats, and miscellaneous tools.
Responsibilities: Weekly and monthly cleaning duties that rotate each month. Weekly wood preparation is required for all artists even those who do not wood-fire.
Number of Residents: Up to 12 artists. Six artists are onsite at the resident’s house. When the house is full, artists must find offsite housing.
