Location: Philadelphia, PA

Length: Long Term - 1-3 years - September-August

Housing: None

Kilns: Many electric kilns and 2 gas kilns -wood kilns in the area

Expenses: Materials and firings

Funding/Stipend: $250/month stipend

Workspace: Individual work space in a semi-private Resident Artist area

Responsibilities: Expected be active in the community and spend a minimum of 16 hours/week in the studio working on personal practice

Number of Residents: 12 artists

Group exhibition
Solo exhibition after 2 years
Grant writing support and professional support from curator and staff
Residents are invited to sell functional work in the shop
Excellent air filtration system throughout the building
Soon to be built 3D printing and laser cutting studio
Many opportunities to sell work in the area at various markets, sales and events
Clause for residents to be able to spend up to four months away to accommodate other opportunities such as short term residencies
Paid opportunities for proposals to teach workshops, private events or “date nights”
The Clay Studio has a strong focus on assisting residents in professional development
Well known program for producing successful and accomplished artists
